Repurposing Old Garden Tools

Never Blue Forge calls this incredible creation “Whip Head Whimsy Bird”

Soon all the Christmas decorations will be coming down and our thoughts will turn to winter and ultimately, spring! Here’s a great spring wreath idea to work on while the winter winds howl. What a great idea for a leaky hose or worn out garden gloves!

All manner of things can be repurposed into birdhouses. Here an old tap handle becomes a perch.

Rakes and shovels that are no longer useful for their original purpose can also be fashioned into trellises and stakes. Or if they’ve lost their handle, rakes make great hangers for kitchen tools or – even more appropriately – garden tools! Every shed needs at least one of these.

Once you start repurposing, everything you used to toss out now becomes creative fodder. The challenge of reusing, repurposing and recycling garden and household items quickly becomes addictive. And that’s a good thing.

We hope you have enjoyed this repurposing series. Next up, for January, we will be exploring the weird and wonderful world of houseplants!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2022!
